Lindisfarne learning

We travelled to Lindisfarne, also known as the Holy Island, by coach, when the road was revealed by the tide. We spent time exploring the priory and learning about St Cuthbert before enjoying some calming, mindfulness sketching. Next we spent time searching the beach for St Cuthberts beads – fossilised sections of sea lily stems. After dinner we drove back to the mainland, noticing the changes in the tide levels. We then visited St Aidan’s Church where we viewed Grace Darlings memorial and grave.
